Serious Injury Scare for Seth Rollins! WWE Fears Surgery
WWE Concerned About Seth Rollins’ Shoulder Injury
A new report has sent shockwaves through the wrestling world as WWE officials are reportedly concerned that Seth Rollins may require shoulder surgery following his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel 2025 in Perth, Australia.
The reigning World Heavyweight Champion is believed to have suffered the injury during a high-risk spot in his bout a daring coast-to-coast headbutt attempt that appears to have gone wrong.
How Seth Rollins Got Injured at Crown Jewel
During the intense encounter between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel, fans noticed Rollins clutching his shoulder in visible pain after attempting a risky move off the top rope.
While the “Visionary” managed to complete the match, insiders claim that the discomfort was not part of a storyline. According to PWInsider, several individuals within WWE are “seriously worried” that Rollins might be dealing with a rotator cuff or shoulder injury severe enough to warrant surgery.
However, not everyone in the company is convinced yet. Some WWE staff reportedly believe that the situation could be part of a worked injury angle, especially considering Rollins’ history of blending real injuries with on-screen storytelling.
PWInsider and Wrestling Observer Updates on Seth Rollins’ Injury
According to PWInsider, WWE’s internal discussions about Rollins’ condition have been cautious, with the company adopting a “wait and see” approach. Medical evaluations are expected to determine the severity of the injury over the next few days.
Meanwhile, on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez weighed in on the developing situation. Both reporters believe the injury to be legitimate, but Meltzer added that some WWE insiders remain skeptical because of how closely this resembles a previous faked knee injury storyline earlier this year.

Meltzer stated:
“Seth Rollins was tentatively scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. I don’t know this for sure, but I’ve been told enough to expect that there would be a turn on Seth Rollins at some point because this new faction wasn’t built around him—it was built to elevate Bron Breakker into the next Roman Reigns. How they planned to do that, I wasn’t told.”
Seth Rollins’ Injury History: The Price of Being “The Visionary”
This isn’t the first time Seth Rollins has battled through pain. Known for his high-impact style and relentless schedule, Rollins has previously torn his ACL (in 2015) and continued to perform through various nagging injuries throughout his career.
His durability has made him one of WWE’s most respected workhorses, but the physical toll continues to mount. If surgery becomes unavoidable, it could mean an extended hiatus for one of WWE’s top stars a major blow to both RAW’s star power and WWE’s global momentum heading into 2026.
