On Sunday, August 31, 2025, WWE will travel to Paris, France for the first European Premium Live Event (PLE) of the year – WWE Clash in Paris 2025.

After the buzz of the WWE Backlash 2024 in Lyon, the anticipation for more action packed event is building. There are only four matches announced so far but there is still room for big surprises. 3. Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles

The fight between Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles has been a really interesting part of WWE Raw.

At SummerSlam, Dominik won against AJ by using the old Lie, Cheat, and Steal moves he learned from his father-in-law, Eddie Guerrero. But Styles, who everyone respects, isn’t giving up.

After AJ stopped Dominik from winning the AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo, things got even more heated. Now, WWE Clash in Paris looks like the right place for them to fight again.

A cool thing to remember is that AJ Styles is super popular with French fans. We saw that at Backlash 2024 when the crowd went wild for him. WWE might think this is the time for The Phenomenal One to take the title from Dominik – maybe with Vikingo stepping in to help even things out.

2. Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Becky Lynch (c) vs. Nikki Bella

WWE fans got a shock when Nikki Bella came back on Raw, stood up to Becky Lynch after being gone for weeks because of an injury. Nikki helped Natalya and Maxxine Dupri from a mean attack, sparking her fight with Becky again.

Right now, there’s no women’s match set for WWE Clash in Paris, so WWE will likely add one — and a Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Bella fight would be just right.

Both stars are legend in WWE’s Women’s division, and their fight would draw lots of eyes to the Paris show. Whether WWE sets this as a title fight or a hate fight, it’s the kind of big match that fans would be eager to watch.

1. Ladder Match for the Vacant Women’s World Championship

One of the biggest questions heading into WWE Clash in Paris is what WWE will do with the Women’s World Championship.

On Raw, Naomi vacated her championship, after announcing her pregnancy, meaning the championship picture is completely open. She was supposed to defend against Stephanie Vaquer, but that is no longer happening.

A very exciting option would be a six-woman Ladder Match, with the following top stars from Raw:

Having this stipulation would give fans a possibility of a show-stealing moment in Paris, while crowning a new Women’s World Champion. While Vaquer deserved the original title shot, the WWE may believe that a multi-woman ladder match can give them and the event more excitement and unpredictability.

WWE Clash in Paris 2025 is already looking like a great show, but a few things could make it even better. Imagine AJ Styles going after a title, Becky Lynch facing Nikki Bella, and a wild ladder match to fill the empty Women’s World Championship spot. The Paris fans are in for one crazy night.
