In a poignant moment, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) sensation Virat Kohli had a tearful reunion with his boyhood coach Rajkumar Sharma after guiding his side to an unforgettable six-wicket victory against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday.

The Delhi-born batsman scored 51 runs off 47 balls. He steadied the innings after RCB got off to a rocky start, reaching 26/3 in four overs. Kohli’s cool demeanour at the crease stabilised the innings and kept the audience completely interested.

After the game, Virat Kohli went to see his boyhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, in a poignant show of appreciation. He was seen touching Sharma’s feet with reverence before wrapping him in a passionate hug. In celebration of Kohli’s tenacious half-century, the coach delivered a friendly hit to his stomach. Virat Kohli’s Phenomenal Form In IPL 2025

Virat Kohli’s half-century was his sixth of the season, propelling him to the top of the IPL 2025 run-scoring chart. He is presently leading the Orange Cap race with 443 runs in 10 innings, an average of 63.28 and a strike rate of 138.87.

The Rajat Patidar-led team will next play the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 3 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
