Two Time IPL Winner Join Delhi Capital as Replacement for Jake Fraser-McGurk

Delhi Capitals signed Bangladesh pacer Mustafafizur Rahman on Wednesday as cover for Australian opener Jake Fraser-McGurk for the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.

Fraser-McGurk, who played six games for the Capitals this season, won’t be available for the remainder of IPL 2025, which resumes from May 17.

Rahman, who first played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL in 2016, also played for the Delhi franchise in 2022 and 2023, before playing for Chennai Super Kings last season.

“Mustafizur Rahman has thus far played 57 IPL matches and has 61 wickets to his credit. He has played 106 T20Is for Bangladesh, taking 132 wickets from the same. The left-arm medium pacer will be representing DC for ₹6 Crore,” the release further added.
