Super Cup 2025 is one of the most awaited football tournaments of India; there has been immense excitement amongst fans to know about the official venue announcement. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has shortlisted three locations, West Bengal, Odisha, and Goa, as possible venues to host this prestigious tournament. A final venue choice has yet to be made, but reports indicate that AIFF has filed the required papers and that an official announcement would be forthcoming soon.

West Bengal: A Footballing Hotspot

West Bengal is a fascinated host of football, a respected legacy thousands strong. Kolkata hosts some legendary name-clubs such as East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, and Mohammedan SC. Salt Lake Stadium, one of India’s largest football arenas, will be proposed should it the selection happen.

Odisha – Past Hosts

Odisha has hosted the Super Cup 2024 final in which East Bengal felled Odisha FC to lift the trophy. If selected, the Kalinga Stadium, with its updated infrastructure, will most likely give Odisha a better chance as a host upon the declared intention behind football development.

Goa – City of Football

Goa has been a stronghold of Indian football with clubs like the FC Goa and Churchill Brothers offering top-notch talent. If Goa wins, the Fatorda Stadium could offer thrilling atmospheres during the Super Cup 2025.

AIFF’s Decision on the Super Cup 2025 Venue

AIFF Secretary General Anilkumar P recently stated:

“We have West Bengal, Odisha, and Goa as options to host the Super Cup. We have just sent the documents to the concerned team and are waiting to have it back. We should have a final decision soon.”

This statement confirms that AIFF is in the final stages of venue selection, and an official announcement can be expected shortly.
