Super Cup 2025-26: Everything You Need to Know About Venues, Fixtures & ACL 2 Qualification

Super Cup 2025-26: Goa Set to Host

Indian football has taken great strides forward, as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced Goa as the host for the Super Cup 2025-26. The group stage will be held from 25 October to 06 November 2025, which gives the head coach of India Khalid Jamil, enough time to prepare for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier against Bangladesh on 18 November.

This move means that the state of Goa will have high-quality football action, with the eventual Super Cup 2025-26 winner securing a playoff berth in the AFC Champions League 2 (ACL 2).

Here’s where the Super Cup 2025-26 games will be:

Most games will be at two main stadiums in Goa:

  • Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda – games start at 7:30 PM India time.
  • GMC Athletic Stadium, Bambolim – games start earlier, at 5:00 PM India time.

Tilak Maidan (Vasco) might be used as a backup, just in case.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) wants the Goa Football Association (GFA) to help out with training fields, lights, medical staff, and other stuff to make sure the whole thing goes smoothly.

Format of Super Cup 2025-26

The Super Cup will have four groups comprised of teams from 12 ISL clubs and 2 I-League sides (Inter Kashi & Real Kashmir).

The semi-finals, happening after India’s away match against Bangladesh, will see group winners having a shot at qualifying.

This year’s edition has become very exciting with the Super Cup winner getting the ACL 2 playoff spot from India.

Defending Champions FC Goa in Focus

FC Goa is the defending champion after winning the Kalinga Super Cup. The Gaurs will be defending their title on home soil and will have stiff competition from their rivals East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC.

The ACL 2 playoff slot secures that the clubs will field their best squads, making this season one of the more competitive seasons yet.

Super Cup 2025-26 is more than just a local tourney; it’s a ticket to play continental ball. With a spot in the ACL 2 playoff up for grabs, there’s a lot riding on this.

  • For ISL clubs: It’s their time to show who’s boss.
  • For I-League teams: A great shot to prove they can hang with the big guys.
  • For AIFF: It’s a solid warm-up before the big Asian Cup 2027 qualifier.
