The WWE Universe can rejoice as WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio is reportedly close to returning to the ring after his long recovery. PWInsider Elite is reporting that Mysterio is supposed to check-in at the WWE Performance Center in the next week to finish his return protocol and step back into the ring.

The wrestling legend has been sidelined since April 18, 2025. He got hurt during a six-man tag team match on SmackDown, tearing his groin. It was bad enough that he needed surgery. This meant he couldn’t wrestle El Grande Americano at WrestleMania 41, which everyone was looking forward to.
