Will Ravindra Jadeja Take Retirement After The ICC Champions Trophy Final?
Virat Kohli embraced Ravindra Jadeja after the left-arm spinner finished his stint in the 2025 Champions Trophy final at the Dubai International Stadium. Following the match, reports circulated that he could retire. Kohli, Jadeja, and Indian captain Rohit Sharma left T20I cricket after India won the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The 2025 Champions Trophy final promises to be a watershed moment in Indian cricket, as not only will the Rohit Sharma-led side attempt to win back-to-back International Cricket Council (ICC) event trophies for the first time in their history, but the summit clash will also mark the end of an era for the Men in Blue.
Three ICC tournaments have taken place during the previous 18 months, beginning with the 2023 Cricket World Cup and continuing with the T20 World Cup. The cricketing world will finally have a respite since the T20 World Cup 2026 is 12 months away, and the next ODI tournament (2027 World Cup, hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia) is more than two and a half years away.
Steve Smith’s departure from one-day international cricket signalled the end of a cycle, prompting speculation over the futures of many key Indian players, including Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and skipper Rohit. It is worth noting that the three waved farewell to the shortest format at the international level after India won the T20 World Cup last year.
