‘I Can Do Anything to Keep It Alive’ Mohammed Siraj Pledges Loyalty to Test Cricket

Mohammed Siraj, the fast-bowling gem of Team India, has once again shown that he is a genuine competitor for the longest version of the match. In participating in all five matches of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, Siraj bowled a staggering 186 overs during 31 years (sic) of playing life. He felt so free to take on such a work load, he said, “if they asked me too, I would bowl more”.

In speaking with Revsportz, he said he does not think about what his body will feel after that much bowling. His number one mentality is, ‘Is it for Test cricket, yes? In that case I am all in’.

Mohammed Siraj’s Love for Test Cricket

Siraj, the fast bowler from Hyderabad, talked about why Test cricket is so important. He thinks the challenges in Test cricket are just like the struggles you face in life.

“I can do anything for Test cricket. I like the way the format throws the toughest challenges at us, just like life does,” Mohammed Siraj said.

This shows how much cricketers like him care about Test cricket. Even though shorter games are more popular now, Siraj is a big supporter of keeping Test cricket going.

Childhood Dream Becomes Reality

Mohammed Siraj said, his childhood dream was to represent India, and he takes all the opportunities he gets.

“People like us had one dream from childhood – to play for the country. So when opportunity presents it self, we take it with both hands,” Mohammed Siraj added.

This mentality reflects why he was able to bowl 186 overs in one series, and not flinch.
