The journey of Mohammad Siraj, from a struggling young boy in the Old City of Hyderabad to one of India’s finest fast bowlers, is a story that has inspired millions of people. In 2016, Mohammad Siraj experienced destiny when he was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹2.6 crore in the IPL auction. This signing not only changed his fate but also the fortunes of his family. The boy who played cricket in slippers was sharing a dressing room with legends.

Mohammad Siraj played his first T20 game for his country in 2017, then his first ODI game in 2019, and his first Test game in 2020. He played his first Test game soon after his dad died. Because of COVID-19 rules, Siraj could not go to the funeral. Yet, he stayed with his team in Australia. There, he played great and showed strong mind power.
