Karnataka Blind T20 Cricket Series for the Blind 2025 Begins in Bengaluru
The Karnataka Blind T20 Cricket Series for the Blind 2025 launched on Wednesday at Altiore Sports, The Oval in Bengaluru, with an exciting blending of cricket and culture. Featuring four teams modeled after Karnataka’s famed dynasties of the past — Kadambas, Hoysalas, Chalukyas, and Wadiyars — the teams dressed in vintage uniforms, and are truly reflective of the state’s greater deep historical legacy, and dedication to inclusion.
Organised by Karnataka Cricket Association for the Blind (KCAB), the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled and the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) , the series aims to provide a competitive pathway for blind cricketers as well as proudly showing Karnataka’s credentials in accessibility in sports.
Hoysalas Win Big Against Kadambas in First Game
The Karnataka Hoysalas came out strong in the tournament opener, beating the Karnataka Kadambas by 42 runs. Captain Harish S led the way with a fantastic 68 off 55 balls, helping his team reach a solid 197/6 in 20 overs.
Even though Hemanth scored an impressive unbeaten 44, the Kadambas couldn’t keep up with the score and ended up at 155/9. The Hoysalas’ good bowling kept the Kadambas from getting any real traction.
Wadiyars Outclass Chalukyas with All-Round Brilliance
The second fixture of the day was dominated by the Karnataka Wadiyars who put on an impressive performance against the Karnataka Chalukyas to register a 59-run win. Krishnamurthy S’s blitz of 36 runs off 26 balls, along with some handy lower-order contributions, took the Wadiyars to 176/9.
After that, their bowlers really started firing and with great fielding support they were able to dismiss the Chalukyas for 117 only and had a big win at their hands.
The league stage resumes on the 24th and 25th of September with successive fixtures that will decide the teams going forward to the final. Following these matches is the 3rd v 4th playoff on the morning of the 26th, followed by the grand final at 1:00 PM — the eagerly awaited duel between the two best teams to decide the champions.

Fresh off their decisive 5-0 series victory against South Africa in the Samarth Championship for Blind Cricket in Bengaluru, India is really making a name for itself in blind cricket. The win showed just how much talent is coming out of places like Karnataka.
Karnataka Blind T20 Cricket Series 2025 is just not the series which revolves around cricket but it is also about representation, opportunity, and excellence.
