“From Etihad to Goodison Park: Jack Grealish’s Fresh Start After Man City Struggles

Jack Grealish Signs for Everton Following Manchester City Departure

After a disappointing 2024–25 at Manchester City, Jack Grealish is set to start a new chapter in his career. The 29-year-old England international saw limited minutes under Pep Guardiola, and was even left out of the squad for the Club World Cup; clearly, a signal of Grealish’s reduced role at the Etihad.

Last season, Grealish appeared in only seven Premier League games and scored just one goal. Once a key part of City’s attack, Grealish now was viewed as having maybe fallen down the pecking order with increased competition. As his form dipped, both Grealish, and City decided that a fresh start was needed.

Grealish is heading to Everton on loan for the season – keeping him in the northwest. David Moyes, who became Everton’s new boss this year, will probably give him a key spot on the team.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed:

“Jack Grealish to Everton, here we go! Loan deal agreed with Man City and medical booked later today. Grealish said yes to the Everton project and is now set to complete his move in the next 24 hours.”

This move is seen as a major coup for the Toffees, as they aim to climb the Premier League table after a difficult few seasons.

Jack Grealish’s Mission: Regain Form and England Place

For Grealish, the loan move is more than just a switch in team it’s a chance to get back the skill that once made him one of England’s top young football stars. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming up fast, Grealish will try to impress the new England boss Thomas Tuchel and lock in his place on the team.

With 39 games for his country under his belt, he knows a good year in royal blue might just be what he needs to fire up his career on the world stage again.

A Defining Moment in Grealish’s Career

At this point, Grealish encounters a career-enhancing moment. Everton will provide the platform, Moyes the system, but it is down to Grealish to produce the performances to remind people why he was the most expensive English footballer in history.

If he does that, this could be one of the most remarkable Premier League comebacks in recent times.
