IPL 2025 Final Update: This Stadium Could Probably Host The Indian Premier League Final
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the revised schedule for the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). The 18th edition of the cash-rich T20 competition, which had been stopped, will resume on May 17.
A total of 17 matches will be contested, culminating in the final on June 3, with Ahmedabad appearing as the most likely host for the title showdown, while a final decision is still pending.
IPL 2025 Revised Schedule
In its official announcement made on Monday, May 12, the IPL stated that the next 17 matches will be played at six chosen venues: – Mumbai – Lucknow – Ahmedabad – Delhi – Jaipur (One more has yet to be formally verified.)
The new schedule also features two doubleheaders on Sundays, which will add to the excitement as the tournament nears its finale.
IPL Final 2025 Likely in Ahmedabad, Depending on Weather
Though the final is on June 3, the venue remains to be decided. Sources say Ahmedabad is at present the favourite, with early predictions showing little possibility of rain in early June. But the BCCI is watching the movement of the monsoon closely before deciding.

Mumbai, too, could host the playoffs, with recent excessive rainfall and cloud cover prevailing over the city making Western Indian weather unpredictable. Cities in North India, such as Delhi, Jaipur, and Lucknow, are also likely candidates to host playoff games based on the evolution of weather conditions.
Logistics Behind Venue Choices
Logistics is one of the most important considerations behind the BCCI’s scheduling choices. It was considered impractical to install broadcast gear and other facilities in new venues, particularly for teams with only a single home game.
CSK (against RR) and SRH (against KKR) will host their remaining home games in Delhi.
Punjab Kings have relocated their base to Jaipur owing to recent border issues around Mohali and Dharamsala.
Mumbai did keep matches at Wankhede, with the advantage that broadcast facilities had already been in place there since their previous home match on May 6.
Team Home Games Considering Convenience
Rajasthan Royals (RR), having only one remaining home match, will host matches at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, which currently has three matches after the break, two of which are home matches of Punjab Kings.
KKR, who had already finished their home matches at Eden Gardens, will not feature any additional matches in Kolkata, at least in part due to unstable weather.
IPL 2025 Last Phase
With the tournament reaching its final phase, the playoff battle becomes fiercer, with teams preparing to qualify. Exciting action is in store for fans across six cities, with the final most likely to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, pending weather clearance.
IPL 2025 Final Match venue
The BCCI is likely to formally announce the playoff and final venues in the days ahead, but operational feasibility and uncluttered weather in Ahmedabad are reasons enough why it is the most likely venue for the IPL 2025 Final on June 3.
