IPL 2025: Full List of Injured Players Replacements
The IPL 2025 season is rapidly approaching. All of the teams have built formidable squads for the competition. Each franchise will strive to offer their all in the tournament and claim the crown.
As we prepare to see the clubs do their best, certain organizations may suffer owing to injury. There are a few organizations that may have experienced a setback in their ambitions owing to one or two of their players.
In this article, we will look at the players who have joined the various IPL teams as substitutes for injured players from the squads that were announced during the super auction.
Mumbai Indians IPL 2025 Injury Replacement
Corbin Bosch Replaced Lizaad Williams
During the IPL 2025 auction, Mumbai Indians signed Lizaad Williams for ₹ 75 lakhs. The reasoning behind purchasing Lizaad Williams was his capacity to perform as a death-over specialist if necessary throughout the competition. However, a knee ailment has forced him to withdraw from the competition.
As Williams would be out for the whole IPL 2025 season, the Mumbai Indians have signed Corbin Bosch as his substitute. The South African all-rounder might be a valuable utility player, contributing with both the bat and the ball if the team requires him throughout the tournament.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman Replaced Allah Ghazanfar
During the IPL 2025 mega auction, Mumbai Indians purchased Afghan spin prodigy Allah Ghazanfar for ₹4.8 crore. However, the 18-year-old spinner suffered a fracture in the L4 vertebra, especially the left pars interarticularis, prior to the Champions Trophy 2025, and was unable to compete. As it turns out, he will also be unable to play in the 2018 IPL season.
To replace Allah Ghazanfar, the Mumbai Indians have turned to another Afghan spinner, Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Mujeeb registered for ₹ 2 Cr at the auction but remained unsold. Due to Ghazanfar’s absence, MI has draughted Mujeeb and plans to employ him to enhance their spin section.
Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2025 Injury Replacement
Chetan Sakariya Replaced Umran Malik
The quick Indian bowler Umran Malik was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders at the IPL 2025 super auction for a price of ₹ 75 Lakhs. It was thought that he would be a superb Indian substitute for someone like Anrich Nortje. However, he has been ruled out of the event owing to an injury.
The KKR management has replaced Umran Malik with Chetan Sakariya. The left-arm medium pacer was part of the KKR squad in the last edition of the event and was auctioned this year for a base price of 75 lakhs. With Malik sidelined, Sakariya has joined the KKR squad for the 2025 season, and the club might benefit from his experience in some of the games over the lengthy tournament.
Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2025 Injury Replacement
Wiaan Mulder Replaced Brydon Carse
Sunrisers Hyderabad purchased Brydon Carse, an English medium-fast bowler, at the IPL 2025 super auction with ₹1 crore. However, he worsened his left toe injury during the Champions Trophy 2025 and will thus miss the upcoming IPL season.
To replace him, SRH has found a nearly identical substitute in Wiaan Mulder. The South African all-rounder has a basic price of ₹75 lakhs. Mulder, like Carse, is a very good bowler who can help later down the order with the bat if necessary.
