An Olympic gold is often one of the best moments in a sportsperson’s career. The total number of golds won by the Indian contingent has reached only ten throughout the history of Olympic Games, out of which eight were recorded in team events in the 20th Century.

As Indian athletes push to get their very first gold medal at Paris 2024, currently set to be held in Paris, let’s look at all the gold medals India has garnered in the Olympics.

List of Gold Medals in Olympics History: 

India has so far managed to get 10 gold medals out of the Olympic Games, out of which the Indian Men’s Hockey Team contributed eight of them.

 Only two individuals brought the gold medal to India, namely Neeraj Chopra and Abhinav Bhindra.

Neeraj Chopra was the last man who made an Olympics gold for India in 2020 and is one of the very strong favorites looking to bring home another gold in this year’s games at Paris 2024.
