ICC Awards 2024 Winners: Complete List and Highlights

The ICC Awards 2024 are being announced in January 2025. They will reward some of the great performances from both players and teams during the exhilarating cricketing year of 2024, which included massive tournaments such as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Not to forget is the stern battle of Test cricket, as all teams had battled for a final spot at Lord’s, London, during the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25.

Cricket Highlights of 2024

India scripted history as they won the Men’s T20 World Cup final against South Africa and bagged their second title. In women’s cricket, New Zealand ended their long wait by securing their maiden Women’s T20 World Cup trophy.

The year was full of super performances by the stars in the form of Jasprit Bumrah, Travis Head, Joe Root, and Kusal Mendis. Emerging stars like Harry Brook and Kamindu Mendis also marked a significant impact on the international platform.

Jasprit Bumrah finished the year as the top wicket-taker in international cricket, with 80 wickets. His form was truly impressive in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy where he picked 32 wickets from nine innings, which saw India play seriously competitive cricket during the entire series.

Kamindu Mendis of Sri Lanka was at the top run-getter, scoring 1,860 runs across formats during 2024.
