Good News for RCB Fan, Star Player is Set to Rejoin Their Squad
Because of the frequent wars between India and Pakistan, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was cancelled last week. Nevertheless, a few days ago, the IPL declared a new schedule with the league to commence once again on Saturday, May 17. This caused the gameplan of numerous teams to get disrupted.
Hazlewood to Rejoin RCB for Remainder IPL 2025?
The final of the IPL was to be played on Mah 25, but now, according to the revised schedule, it will be played on June 3. One of the cricketers, who was to miss the rest of the season of the IPL, was RCB pacer Josh Hazlewood. The pacer had to play the WTC finals and was also experiencing shoulder injury.
Earlier in a report by ESPNCricinfo, Hazlewood was not likely to feature for the rest of the season. But according to a new report by Hindustan Times, the Aussie sensation will be featuring in the drive to make RCB champions.
Since the league is suspended, Hazlewood, along with other foreign stars traveled back home, and with WTC finale important, it was presumed that he wouldn’t come back. Nevertheless, according to HT, the old pacer will return in time for the KKR game.
“Yes, Josh will travel to India. We are in discussion with the authorities about the exact date of his arrival,” a source close to Hazlewood told Hindustan Times
Hazlewood’s value to RCB’s title hopes
He was RCB’s clear top player prior to league suspension and he was one of the key reasons why RCB are at the second position of points table.
In 10 games, Hazlewood had claimed 18 wickets, at an economy of 8.44. But he skipped the last game against CSK because of a shoulder injury, but now it appears that the pacer will be fit and ready to go for rest of the season.
