There is a new boss in town, IPL and BBL! The Global Super League 2025 (GSL) is a T20 that will change the face of cricket. The ‘Club World Cup’ idea sees David Warner’s Dubai Capitals play against Hobart Hurricanes (BBL 2025 winners) while Rangpur Riders try to protect their throne and all these other cricket teams are present. It goes beyond the game and becomes an arena where the best players from all over the world shine and fight for slots in the IPL and, in some cases, in the national teams.

Established in 2024, the GSL is the counterpart of FIFA Club World Cup in football and in the same way it brings together topmost franchises of world cricket. This includes the Australian (Hobart Hurricanes), the Arab (Dubai Capitals), the New Zealander (Central Districts), the Bangladeshi (Rangpur Riders), and the West Indian (Guyana Amazon Warriors) teams.

Central Districts and Dubai Capitals will take the center stage for the opening game of GSL 2025 on July 10, 2025, at Providence Stadium, Guyana. In one round-robin cycle, each team will play all the other teams once, meaning that the top two teams will determine the champion on the finals match day, which is slated for July 19.
