Ex-SRH cricketer Siddharth Kaul has registered for the BBL 2025 draft alongside notable Pakistani players such as Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shadab Khan.
Kaul, having participated in three ODIs and the same number of T20Is for India before retiring from international cricket last November, is the only Indian male player to sign up for the BBL draft taking place here on Thursday.
Siddharth Kaul has the potential to be the second Indian cricketer to participate in the BBL in Australia if chosen in the draft on Thursday. More than 600 cricketers have submitted their applications to join the BBL draft.
Siddharth Kaul took 58 wickets during his IPL career across 55 matches. He participated in five seasons for Kavya Maran’s SRH, and his last season was with Virat Kohli’s RCB in IPL 2022. Siddharth Kaul has taken 182 wickets throughout his domestic T20 career.
Kanika Ahuja, representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women’s Premier League and having made her T20I debut for India this year, is one of the 15 women players from India.
Other Indian women’s players comprise Jemimah Rodrigues, Shikha Pandey, Radha Yadav, and Yastika Bhatia, who have previously participated in the WBBL.
The roster additionally features S Meghana, Arundhati Reddy, Pratika Rawal, U-19 T20 World Cup champion captain Niki Prasad, Uma Chetry, Kashvee Gautam, Priya Mishra, among several others.
