Romano gave a definite and direct update on the matter via his YouTube channel on 5 November. He stated, among other things, that “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready,” Romano stated. “He wants to sign with Manchester United as soon as possible. He is the leading candidate.”

While he acknowledged that Manchester United has not yet made a final decision regarding which coach will replace David Moyes, he did indicate that Solskjaer is definitely at the top of his list, as things stand today.
