Chris Jericho Could be the Next Superstar Who Can Join WWE, Claims WWE Hall of Famer
Chris Jericho left WWE in 2017, and hasn’t been back since. Even though Jericho became a major wrestling star, you can’t forget what WWE did for his career. He was there for almost 20 years before he left.
One major reason he left WWE was that he wasn’t happy with his WrestleMania 33 plans. He and Kevin Owens had a great story going for the WWE Universal Championship, heading into WrestleMania 33. But right before the show, WWE decided to drop the title from their storyline.
Booker T feels that Chris Jericho will return to WWE shortly
Goldberg was awarded the championship, rendering Jericho and Kevin Owens’ efforts futile. Chris Jericho was shown to be dissatisfied with this choice, therefore he left the promotion permanently. So he left the promotion to join NJPW in 2017. However, the multi-time World Champion remains hopeful that Jericho will return to WWE in the future. During his “Hall of Fame” podcast, he explained the following:
“People were talking about it, people talking about Jericho coming back, you know. Does Jericho fit into WWE right now? Yeah, I mean, look, to me, it’s like Chris Jericho — he’s like Edge or Christian. They’ll always fit in. He’s an original, he’s an OG, you know what I mean? So yeah, I could definitely see Chris Jericho coming back.” said the former superstar, WWE legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.

Jericho came to WWE in 1999, and right away, he was seen as a top star for the future. He even took the WWE world title in the late WWE Attitude Era, and he had the chance to keep the WWE World Championship in the top fight at WrestleMania X8 against Triple H.
After he left WWE in 2017, he kept doing well in other rings, but most of all at AEW All Elite Wrestling, where he became the World Champion. He has won more titles there, and now he is seen as one of the big names. Chris Jericho’s return to WWE would make fans very happy, and he would fit well both as a wrestler and in other roles.
