Arjun Tendulkar to Jacobs, Who Might Play Their First Match For Mumbai Indians After IPL 2025 Restart
The countdown days are approaching for the resumption of the IPL 2025 following the one week halt owing to escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan. As of May 17th, the tournament will resume from the 58th match.
The break has caused trouble for the teams. Some of the foreign players may not return and thus there will be some vacancies in all the teams to experiment with some of their new faces.
As the tournament resumes, here’s a glance at three MI players who could play their first game since IPL 2025 resumed.
Bevon Jacobs
The New Zealand lower middle order hittter may be a highly influential player for the Mumbai Indians. With some players absent, the franchise will seek a candidate who can give them pwerful finishes.

Bevon Jacobs may be the best fit for lower middle order batsman. Jacobs has a strike rate of 148.42 in T20s. This indicates that he is capable of handling the bowling from the beginning of his innings and boosting the run rate of the team at crucial moments of a match.
Krishnan Shrijith
As it stands, Ryan Rickelton might not be playing for MI as the tournament restarts. This would open the spot for a wicketkeeper batter in the playing combination. The team has already tried Robin Minz and has not got much results. So, it could be that we will see Krishnan Shrijith for the first time in IPL 2025.
Notably, MI will have to promote a player to occupy the opening spot of Ryan Rickelton. This will open up place for a batter in the middle order and Krishnan Shritjith could fill that spot. Batting at the top middle order, Shrijith could provide dynamism and solidity to the MI line up.
Arjun Tendulkar
Fresh ball bowler and useful batter, Arjun Tendulkar can earn some games for the five time IPL winners once IPL 2025 resumes. Young Indian all-rounder may bring the required balance and stability in the composition of playing XI.

Arjun can be a very useful bowler for MI with the new ball in hand. Apart from that, he can also bat lower down the order and play a useful role with the bat for the team. Looking for composition and balance, it may be that Arjun Tendulkar is given his first match of MI in IPL 2025.
