Ambati Rayudu took a hilarious dig “Ee sala cup RCB de” After MI vs RCB match IPL 2025

Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu made a funny jab at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) following their victory against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match on Tuesday, April 7. RCB defeated MI by 12 runs at the Wankhede Stadium after 10 years.

Ambati Rayudu, speaking on ESPN Cricinfo, somewhat altered the popular tagline connected with RCB and said—

“Ee sala cup RCB de (This year the cup is RCB’s).”

Furthermore, Ambati Rayudu stated that RCB is more talked about since they always fall short despite having a team capable of winning the IPL.

“I have always admired their cricket. We make fun of them because no one thinks about DC or Punjab, and RCB always has a squad capable of winning the IPL but falls short. Nobody else can defeat them, only themselves,” he continued.

RCB has begun the season impressively, with three victories in their first four games. They have won all three games away from home, at Eden Gardens, Chepauk, and Wankhede.

According to Ambati Rayudu, RCB is a squad with well-defined combinations.

RCB started their IPL 2025 campaign with two straight victories over the defending champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). They suffered their first setback against the Gujarat Titans (GT), but rebounded with a good effort versus MI.

Ambati Rayudu claimed that RCB is one of the clubs with well-defined combinations this season. He also stated that the clubs that are not performing well this season are still working out their combinations.

“If you look at the teams who aren’t performing well in the IPL, they’re still trying out new combinations. But RCB is one club, along with Delhi and Punjab to some extent, who have truly got their combinations well prepared for the season.” he added

On Thursday, April 10, the RCB will host the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. They will be eager to capitalise on their momentum and win their first game of the season at home.
