India’s Football Crisis: AIFF Rushes to Hire New Coach Before July 13 Deadline!
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has begun the search for a new head coach for the men’s team, which is facing difficulties due to poor performance, with the application deadline set for July 13. The quest for a new coach began following the exit of Spain’s Manolo Marquez. Marquez chose to separate from the AIFF through mutual agreement. He became part of the team just last year.
All India Football Federation stated on its website, ‘The new head coach of the Senior Men’s National Team will report to the All India Football Federation General Secretary and will be accountable for the team’s performance in all matches and tournaments. The head coach will work closely with the National Team Department, National Team Director and Technical Director.’
AIFF head coach requirements
This necessitates a coaching background of ten to 15 years at both youth and senior levels. In addition to the standard expectations of being adaptable, effective, and inventive, the All India Football Federation seeks a coach with strong skills in relationship management, needs assessment, cultural awareness, and a background in collaborating with AIFF partners like media and sponsors.
