India Was Put in Pot 4 – To Have a Hard First Game
Before the final draw, the 12 teams that will compete have been separated into four pots depending on their ranking or position in the last three championships. Along with Jordan and Bangladesh, India is in Pot 4.
The seeding criteria are:
- 100% points from the 2024 edition,
- 50% points from 2019, and
- 25% points from 2017.
Such a system is aimed at ensuring that the competition is balanced and that the teams which have performed well recently are fairly represented.
