

Usain Bolt Returns to India: Olympic Icon Reveals Why He’s Returning After 10 Years
Eight-time Olympic gold medalist and sprinting icon Usain Bolt will be in India from September 26 to 28, including Delhi and Mumbai on the legendary athlete’s schedule. This will be Bolt’s second trip to India after his first visit in 2014.
Regarding his journey, Bolt mentioned, as cited by Olympics.com,
“I am excited to return to India. The energy, the people and the passion for sports here is truly unmatched. I have a lot of fans in India and am really looking forward to my visit there later this year.”
Usain Bolt visited the nation in 2014 for a sponsor’s promotional operations and played an exhibition cricket match with Yuvraj Singh, India’s ICC Cricket World Cup-winning all-rounder, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

During his tour, he also competed in a 100-meter sprint against an Indian batsman. The Jamaican’s most recent journey to India will also be for promotional purposes, including stops in Mumbai and Delhi. During his stay, he will attend a variety of fan interaction and cultural activities.
The highlight of the tour will be a national sprint competition for students, culminating in a final event held in the presence of this Olympic symbol.
Bolt has enjoyed a career deserving of the ‘Hall of Fame’ in sports, securing eight Olympic gold medals, 13 World Championship awards with 11 of them being gold, and setting world records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m events. Despite retiring from competitive athletics in 2017, he continues to be one of the most renowned sporting figures globally.
