Tragic Loss: Liverpool’s Diogo Jota & Brother Died in Spain Highway Accident

Liverpool striker Diogo Jota has passed away at 28 due to a car accident in Spain, according to Portuguese reports.

Diogo Jota was said to be riding in a vehicle with his brother Andre, who is likewise a 26-year-old soccer player.

The event took place on the A-52 in the Zamora province.

Emergency services in the Castilla y León region verified the accident.

1-1-2 informed the Zamora Traffic Police, the Zamora Provincial Fire Brigade, and the Sacyl Emergency Coordination Center (CCU) regarding this incident.

A Medical Emergency Unit (UME) and the Primary Care Medical Staff (MAP) from the Mombuey Health Center were dispatched, who verified the passing of two individuals on-site.

The heartbreaking news arrives merely two weeks following Jota’s wedding to his long-time partner Rute Cardoso in Porto.
