Carlo Ancelotti to leave Real Madrid; Will be The Next Coach of The Brazilian National Team
Following the Real Madrid coach’s exit, Carlo Ancelotti will assume the Brazil coaching role.
65-year-old Ancelotti extended his contract at the close of 2023, leaving him contracted to the Merengues until 2026.
Following disappointing performances this season, under pressure, the coach, however, would already have indicated to the club his willingness to depart Madrid, Cortegana asserts.
The hope is that Carlo Ancelotti will complete the La Liga season and assume Brazil in June, so he should not be coaching Madrid in the Club World Cup.

The Merengue board would then need to determine who will lead the team in the tournament between an interim coach, with football director Santi Solari being the best bet, or a new coach, with Xabi Alonso being the prime name to assume the club.
Carlo Ancelotti’s exit should be made official in the next few days, according to Mario Cortegana.
The Athletic had previously reported, on April 19, that Ancelotti must depart the Madrid squad, with the Brazilian National Team being his preferred and most probable destination.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has long been interested in the Italian coach, who even had an “agreement” with president Ednaldo Rodrigues prior to sealing his renewal with Real in December 2023.
Sources at The Athletic had put forward that the deal had to be of less than four years.
The Athletic had reported that the CBF emissary, Diego Fernandes, attended the defeat of Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals at the hands of Arsenal on April 16 with the aim of meeting with Ancelotti that week, but this had been denied by the organization.
In addition, Relevo, on Sunday (27), published that, aside from Diego Fernandes, another well-known Brazilian businessman who was also at La Cartuja to watch the final of the Copa del Rey, for supposed talks with the coach.
The CBF, also with Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus on the list, wants to appoint a new coach ahead of the next FIFA date, in June.
