BCCI Annual Contract 2024-25 | Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan are back

BCCI has reaffirmed its annual player retainership for the 2024-25 season, with Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer coming back to the national team.

Indian cricketers Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer, who were earlier released from central contracts by the BCCI, have been reinstated in the national team, as the highest governing body for cricket in India announced its annual player retainership for the 2024-25 season on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Indian team seniors Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have retained their A+ category contracts despite retiring from the T20I format. The top-of-the-line BCCI contract fetches Rs 7 crore annually besides match fees and incentives. Senior duo Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja, who has also retired from T20Is, have retained their A+ category contract as well.

Ravichandran Ashwin, recently retired from international cricket last cricket, has been substituted by Rishabh Pant in the A category contract, while the other five are the same in the category. Pant was included in the B category in last year’s contract list.

The latest additions to the list of central contracts, all of whom have been placed in Grade C, are Nitish Kumar Reddy, Dhruv Jurel, Abhishek Sharma, Sarfaraz Khan, Akash Deep, Varun Chakravarthy, and Harshit Rana.

Jitesh Sharma, KS Bharath, and Avesh Khan – who were in category C last year – have been left out of the contract list altogether.

Grade B: Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shreyas Iyer.

Grade C: Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Harshit Rana.
