CSK vs DC Match Review
Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bat first in Chennai. With Faf du Plessis sidelined, KL Rahul was elevated to the opening position, which proved to be a masterstroke. Rahul played a methodical innings, scoring 77 off 51 balls, while cameos from Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs helped DC reach 183, a tough total at Chepauk.
In reaction, it appeared that CSK was constantly behind the game, as the DC bowlers put pressure from the start. Chennai lost three wickets in the powerplay and managed only 42 runs because no batsman could get going.
While Vijay Shankar scored a valiant 69 it wasn’t enough on the day. MS Dhoni’s 30 also couldn’t give Chennai fans anything to cheer in the end as they remained at the bottom end of the points table.
